| Home-page (Title's not all that orginal is it?) For Builds, knowledge and random unnecessary crap, CHECK OUT OUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL! I get an epic number of emails saying when I'll put my comics on the site. Let me answer that: Probably never.Well, I'm starting my Terminator Salvation Parody one, so maybe next year! "Look Ma, It's colourized!!!" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- READ THE LATEST NOTE!!! This site has been put in temporary hiatus. All current info WILL be available, however we will not post anything new until New Years Eve Sydney, then London then L.A. time (unless we get bored o' course!). Please feel free to apply to be a writer or moderator or even administrator for the site, we are short of staff! Our YouTube will still be updated each month or so, so check it out and tell your friends!!!!! Hi, welcome to Build-it, the site were we post it and you make it! Since this is my first site that actually has any real purpose, I would really appreciate any pointers and tips. I may not read them all, but boy do they help! See the notes below, that are updated reasonably regularly, for information about absences, new builds and the results of experimental builds that we have tested. First things first, the intro and the terms of use. My name is %#@&(%*!@?, but you can call me Techie, and I am the mastermind behind this site. I live in Australia, +10 hours ahead of GMT, so if you post anything that you want me to read, you'll have to understand that it takes a while before I can read it. Next, As i am the sole operator of this site (so far), any requests for how to build things have to go through me, and therefore it may take up to a fortnight for me to post your requests. I will post weekly updates to this site, but check the site regularly for updates, because i may post things more than once a week. Now, we must delve into the boring bits. I have extended to you, the viewer, the option to post your own instructables. In fact, I implore you to help me out. However, this is a site where I will not tolerate any kind of abuse, racism or bad language. Also, please note that this site is written not only for adults but for children, especially those who want help with a science fair project. One the note of science projects, some of the things on this site may or may not be illegal overseas, and some of the things i post are even illegal in my home country, so if you use any of the things on my site, please remember that you may be unknowingly using or making something illegal. much of the stuff on my site IS legal, however i will not take responsibility for misuse or negligent use of illegal things, or damage or injury* to your person, other people, or property of yourself or other people. For more information, visit the Terms of Use page. Anyway, on with the show! We also have a section on youtube! Some build-its include how to make a Betta fish tank, and how to make a flamethrower. our name is buildittutorials, so look out youtube here come the Build-it people! And now, a secondary introduction!(including the newly appointed admin guy, Mechie) We are the DT duo that is Techie and Mechie, the engineer and mechanic behind the site. We don't have any degrees, we have never taken a formal job in either engineering or mechanics and we aren't exactly grad students (we have yet to finish high school). we, techie and the Mechster, just like TECHNOLOGY! we designed most of the stuff on this site myself, and will try to guarantee that most of the stuff on this site will work, and that we DEFINITELY have scientific basis to all the plans and instructions on this site. some of the info on the site may or may not be taken partially from other sources, so to acknowledge the people i have 'borrowed' information from, we are starting a Techie and Mechie thank these sources page, that will acknowledge the many sources that have 'donated' info to Build-it. Techie would also like to point out that Mechie's hometown is in England, so he can answer stuff in comparison with GMT Thanks for viewing and reading this page, boring as it may be!!! Techie & Mechie :) Editors Note [posted: 8/11/2009]:Hi. We have recently been very quiet with builds on the site, because we are working our butts off here at HQ to give you a line of all new builds that are personally made, and custom built by our Build-it Staff. We have made about 10 video builds that will be uploaded to the site, and we have roughly 7-8 new written builds. They are currently being tested for flaws (any explosives are tested on a chemistry simulator, then in the real world to test for potency), and will probs be on the site in a few weeks tops. I will keep you all posted! ::Techie:: Editors Note [posted: 26/11/2009]:OK, the written builds all failed miserably, and I now have an indelible green-blue stain in my garden due to a copper-based explosive that was about 4 times too powerful. So, those are failures. However, the vids are great, and we are trying to make them each month, tho I'm a bit over-due. Plus, next year I will bring you a real-time build of how to make a professional quality glass fish tank with about 70-120 litres of water in it. Ideal for axolotls, newts and salamander young tho, and it will be quite shallow. Thank-you Tutor Task! ::Techie:: Editors Note [posted: 3/12/2009]:Allright, I caved to YouTube demands, and we now have a voting booth on the site. We have been doing some de-bugging recently, so it might be dead or broken, but it think its online. Gonna try to get a visitor counter for you guys, so just hang in there, and tell your friends bout our site! Anyway, go down the list in the menu, and at the bottom after 43 is Vote for a new build, thats the poll booth! ::Techie:: *injury includes death! | |

We are, put bluntly, really short of staff. We have only 2 members, as our other member Geo8 was a total ***** and he resigned. Yeah, I know. Anyways, Techies technical support guy also got a girlfriend (Whoa, a tech support guy with a girlfriend, who woulda thought it?) and now he has no time. So yeah, please contact us (we have a "contact us" page, just drop us a line) and apply. We will accept almost all applicants so yey.
All applicants will undergo a trial period as a writer of 31 days, and then if Mechie and I think your good, you'll be 'hired' (we can actually pay you, this is a free thing). You'll have complete admin priviledges. |

good attempt at making a site, although u guys really need to research ur **** before u post it, i mean come on a genreator made of coins??? no clue where u guys got that idea from, almost as bad as the speaker although u did correct urselfs. It seems like u find things and just paste them on here, try to make up some stuff or change it around and edit it urself, make it more easy to read and figure who ur targetting this site at cuz some children in science fairs wont be able to get wat ur saying in those descriptions, also maybe add pictures to it. (and for the generator, u have to have some sort of coil and a magnetic field as all generators do)

Hi, this is Techie again. We at build-it would like to get more visits to our site, so we are asking YOU, the reader, to tell all your friends and family about this site, and refer them to us.
Thanks :) ::Techie, Mechie and Geo8:: |
